Maddie says the craziest things. While observing her playing with her Barbie, I heard the following words...."Okay, I gotta take my Barbie's bra off."
I say, "Why is your Barbie wearing a bra?"
Her father says, "They're plastic. It's not like they're gonna fall." Gotta love Father for that.
Maddie says, "Because she is a lady!"
I say, "What are ladies who don't wear bras?" Don't ask me why I wanted to know.
Maddie says, "They are MEN!!!" You have to know that Maddie never misses a beat.
Then she adds as an afterthought...."Well kids don't wear bras either."
That's it. The thoughts of Maddie on the subject of Barbies, bras, men and kids. You just have to love her.

The Neigborhood Bike Parade and the 1st Day of School

Our neighborhood had a bike parade and breakfast at the park after. The kids had a blast. There were water games, lots of buckets of water being thrown around and of course....decorated bikes. Our theme was ribbons and bows.

The girls' first day of school went off without a hitch. They love school. They walk to and from everyday. We are going to start bikes soon. We have to earn that privilege with Mom. They take their lunch almost every day. And we have not had too many problems getting up and getting ready for the day.Tuesday, August 5, 2008
I know its been a long time......

I know it has been awhile since my last post. So much for weekly posts. We are that exciting...just no time to sit down and download the pics off my camera. Soooo....I will have to post over several days to get everyone up to speed.
First off...We went on a boat. Our great friends have a boat and we get to come along for fun times. My kids are such water babies. They had a blast and slept soooo well that night!!!!
